The WSPA Seminar at Avenal, CA
was held on June 18th thru June 22nd
known as the 2007 Women’s Soaring
Camp.
The camp included daily seminars on
beginner and advanced soaring topics,
evening movies about gliding from around the
world and provided an opportunity to meet
women who fly gliders from around the US and
the world.

Location: Avenal, California is located in Kings County, five miles west of Interstate 5, at the intersection of State Route 33 and State Route 269. We are about half way between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay area on the west side of the Central Valley. Avenal has a varied combination of lift conditions including thermal, mountain wave, ridge and convergence most of the year. |
