Jacob Mersino visits NAS Lemoore

Cmdr. Dave Kindley invited Jacob to visit the Navy Flight line and see firsthand the operations underway at NAS Lemoore.

Here's Roy Norman's write-up for the nice visit they had at NAS Lemoore.

"Dave Kindley, one of our newest members and an F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot at Lemoore NAS, gave one of our youngest members, Jacob Mersino, quite a treat recently. Jacob mentioned that he is considering aviation at a military academy. Dave generously invited Jacob (Peter and Roy tagged along) to tour the Lemoore facility, try out the simulator and share his experience.

Dave let Jacob try the simulator (no pictures there!), which looked like it was just plain fun. He also shared an enormous amount of information about the several avenues for winding up being a pilot in a fighter jet.

I know that Jacob had a great time, as did Peter and I.
